The association was created in 1932, recalls Jean-Marc Campello. Its goal is to support the gendarmerie. “We have 200 committees in France and nearly 15,000 active members, benefactors or patrons, recalls the departmental president of the association. We participate in the purchase of equipment and we have a magazine on the daily news of the gendarmerie. We must promote and transmit the values of the national gendarmerie.”

In 2023, the association had given hands-free headsets to the gendarmes.
