As the year draws to a close, rumors about Samsung's next flagships are growing. Indeed, the Korean giant should normally present the new Galaxy S25 series in January. And a recent leak suggests that this series will be presented at an Unpacked event on January 22. In the meantime, new information is circulating about the design of the most important model in this series: the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Indeed, according to a publication by Ice Universe, a source that is regularly cited by the high-tech press, the S25 Ultra would be entitled to an exclusive new feature: a new generation Gorilla Glass Armor protective glass. This glass would have new anti-reflective properties. Unfortunately, Ice Universe does not give more details. Nevertheless, the new Gorilla Glass Armor should allow the Galaxy S25 Ultra to have better resistance to falls and scratches.
The glass used by the Galaxy S24 Ultra already has impressive properties. According to Corning, which manufactures Gorilla Glass Armor, the current version is already capable of reducing reflections by 75%. Corning also states that, compared to competing products, this glass is three times more resistant to drops. As for scratch resistance, it would be four times higher, according to laboratory results.

For example, this model could use the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which will offer exceptional CPU and GPU speeds. The S25 Ultra is also rumored to feature more RAM.
And all of this, in addition to making the Galaxy S25 Ultra more powerful, should also allow the device to handle more complex artificial intelligence features, to better compete with iPhones that have Apple Intelligence. For example, it is rumored that, thanks to its new processor and RAM, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would be able to handle more AI features locally, instead of relying on the cloud.
This will be an important advantage, since local processing allows for better confidentiality, and reduced latency. But for now, caution is still required, even though Samsung has already indicated, during the presentation of its quarterly results, that it will continue to rely on AI to promote its high-end smartphones.
