The hollow/full hours system will evolve: date, new schedules, interest … what to expect ?

Spread the love

11 million people will experience an evolution in the placement of their off -peak hours. Maxppp – Patrice Masante < P Class = "Article-Full__CoPo" > From the 1st & nbsp; next November, the hollow/full hour system will evolve, announced the regulatory commission for the energy CE 6 & nbsp; February 2025.

< P > changes in consumption modes such as teleworking or programmable uses have changed voltage moments on the electrical network, explains CRE. The objective of the reform is therefore to move these off -peak hours to the moments when the supply of electricity is abundant – thanks to the development of solar energy – and lower demand. 200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

< P >< EM > “a lot of beaches of off -peak hours are placed at times which are no longer hollow moments for the system and vice versa, we have quite a few hollow hours Moments which are in fact useful for the consumer and useful for the system “, explains Emmanuelle Wargon, the president of the Cre.

< P >The new hollow hours beaches will gradually come into force from November 1, 2025 and until the end of 2027. Energy suppliers will prevent their customers at least one month before effective change. < H2 Class = "TXT-INT" > What interest ? < P > subscribers can program or launch a certain number of devices during the cheapest hours, including water heater, washing machine, dishwasher and today recharge of an electric vehicle or Starting a heat pump. < P > This < EM > “will allow more French to have off-peak hours during the day, especially summer on the beach 11:00 am to 19h00” , underlines Emmanuelle Wargon. They will thus have < em > “twice a day access to electricity at a cheaper price, it gives more flexibility. It is coherent with new lifestyles, especially telework.” < P >Concretely, this means to move part of the hours ill-placed (7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.), where demand is strong, towards slots where energy is abundant and inexpensive, mainly when solar panels produce the aftermath Midi (11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), from April 1 to October 31. < H2 Class = "TXT-INT" > which is concerned by this change ? < P > Today, 14.5 million households have a contract with HP/HC option, or 40% of households, indicates CRE. Among them, 11 million will experience an evolution in the placement of their off -peak hours, at least in summer.

< P >For example, a consumer whose off-peak hours are today on the beaches 2 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., will see the latter shifted and reduced by half an hour and increased by half an hour during the day . They will be between 1:30 am and 7 a.m. at night and between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. < P > On the other hand, there will be no change for 3.5 million households, in particular customers with off -peak hours between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 am, which represents 1.4 million counters. These patterns are indeed already < EM > “coherent with the favored beaches or the beaches that we wish to delete” , indicates Emmanuelle Wargon. No change either for a subscriber who benefits from off -peak hours in twice, between 1:00 am and 07:00 am and between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

< H2 Class = "TXT-INT" > How important for the network ? < P >< EM > “This allows consumption to be distributed […] at the moments relaxed for the system” , underlines Emmanuelle Wargon.

< P > The CRE also wants to limit negative price phenomena on the electricity market, in sharp increase, and which cause economic losses for the French park. These are hours during which electricity is sold on markets at prices below zero, because the supply is too abundant and the demand weaker. < P > According to the energy regulator, the hours at negative prices represented 235 hours in the first half of 2024, or 5.4% of the time, against 147 hours in 2023 (1.7% of the time) and never more than 102 hours per year until 2022 (or 1.2% of the time).
