It was Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the National Assembly, who answered the journalist's questions. The politician was notably questioned about the remarks of the Prime Minister, François Bayrou, who judged, the day before, that France “approaching” a “feeling of submersion” in terms of immigration.

“I would never have made these remarks, they embarrass me. We are talking about men and women, about our country, France, which, through its history, geography and culture, has always welcomed and built itself with this tradition“, declared Yaël Braun-Pivet.
