Apple is unlikely to increase the selling price of its iPhones this fall with the release of the “16″. Less than a month before the presentation of its future smartphones, the Apple brand is experiencing numerous waves of rumors. They focus on changes in size, battery capacity, or software features. But no announcement has yet been made on the price of these future iPhone 16s.

According to Chris Smith, a journalist for the news site BGR, this absence of rumors is good news. Indeed, analysts have been rightly announcing price increases for the iPhone 14 and 15 for two years. With the iPhone 16 coming out just a few weeks ago, the question of its price doesn’t seem to bother us that much.

iPhone 16: no price increase, for now

Excellent news for users who could benefit from a larger, more powerful and more durable smartphone than the iPhone 15, for the same price. In addition to the prices offered by Apple, another factor should be taken into account when buying an iPhone in Europe. The value of the dollar is indeed an important variable. The stronger the greenback, the more expensive the iPhone is.

The arrival of new taxes in France or Europe can also have an influence on the price of iPhones in France. Recently, the Cupertino firm increased the price of all its models to counteract the arrival of a new tax, linked to the anti-waste law for a circular economy. This corresponds to a price increase of 1.75 euros per device for the buyer.

The iPhone 16 is highly anticipated. It should be the first smartphone presented by the brand with the apple with Apple Intelligence natively integrated. With the arrival of iOS 18, many features will be arriving in the Californian firm's smartphones.

The digital giant also plans to change the size of the phones, the battery capacity and the camera block on the back. To run all this, Apple is banking on an A18 chip with 8 GB of RAM. Apple could, however, play on the storage capacity, by withdrawing the 128 GB version from the market. This would increase the price by around a hundred euros. Today the iPhone 15 256 GB is sold at 1100.95 euros.
