La Région a voté une aide pour l'extension du gymnase de la Vernède. MIDI LIBRE – ARCHIVE

Ce vendredi 13 décembre, à Toulouse, les élus de la commission permanente ont alloué 700 000 € d’aide au département.

In Lozère, on the proposal of Carole Delga, 38 files will receive regional aid representing a total amount of €700,000. Here are the main projects, the list is not exhaustive.

Massegros-Causses-Gorges

Le Clos des chênes includes 17 gîtes classified 3 épis and a fitness area. This structure is a real tourist locomotive. It will also soon be of public utility in a rural area. As an extension of the current balneotherapy building, the municipality plans to create an indoor pool with changing rooms and showers. For heating, a wood pellet boiler already exists. Students from the village and surrounding communities would learn the basics of swimming here.

Outside of the slots reserved for schools, the facility could accommodate discovery classes, holidaymakers and individuals, for example for aquagym classes. Thanks to €80,000 in aid from the Region, work should begin within three to six months for commissioning at the end of 2025.

La Tieule

The bread ovens in the hamlets of Pertuzades and Longviala are not only valuable examples of traditional Caussenard buildings. They are also used to bake bread, pizzas and the famous manouls of La Tieule, during communal festivities or gourmet walks. Unfortunately, their old slate roofs were taking on water. The Region voted for nearly €14,000 in aid so that they could be quickly rehabilitated by local craftsmen.

Les Salelles

The development of the hamlet of Arbussel will be able to begin, after the vote for regional aid of nearly €9,000. Barbecue, petanque ground, picnic area, pergola and new plants will appear in the fine weather. This typical and flowery village is thus doubling its efforts to remain a welcoming place, where life is good and people can gather.

Mende

Requested by the handball club which has 300 members and two women's teams in the national, the extension of the Vernède sports complex is launched at the end of the year with the support of the Region, to the tune of €50,000. This development will create offices for associations and a social room available to all users.

Created 30 years ago, the Causse d’Auge athletics track needed renovation work. This summer, the straight line reserved for the 100 metres was renovated; the surfacing of the half-pipes and the interior corridors was also partly redone thanks to a regional boost of €35,000. The 180 members of the Éveil mendois athlétisme are relieved. They are now training in the best conditions. Like the schoolchildren and all those who come to run there.

Prunières

Place Saint-Caprais, two disused buildings stood out next to the listed Romanesque church and the town hall. The municipality bought them. It had the first demolished to create a covered social space. The second will house a communal oven. The square will also be planted and decorated with an old shoeing loom. The development will be completed by the summer thanks to a grant of €18,000.

La Panouse

Road access to Les Chazes, a high mountain hamlet, was dangerous. To make it safer, the municipality widened the narrow road and its shoulders, installed a guardrail and limited the authorized speed. The restored shoeing loom was moved, as was the household waste room. Entrusted to Lozère companies, these essential developments have benefited from regional aid of €21,000.

Langogne

Nine affordable municipal housing units will begin their thermal transformation in spring 2025. Objectives: meet regulatory obligations, maintain the real estate assets and improve the comfort of tenants. Insulation work and the installation of heat pumps will improve the energy label. The Region is allocating more than €44,000 to this action that is good for the wallet and the environment.
