The Lozère Department and the ARS are continuing their consultation with the region’s nursing homes

In line with the consultation work undertaken alongside the Director of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) and his teams, the President of the Department, Laurent Suau, the Vice-President for Solidarity, Françoise Amarger-Brajon, and the Councillor Delegate for the Elderly and Disabled, Dominique Delmas, brought together, for the second time, all the directors of nursing homes in the territory.

Differentiated rates

Two major themes structured the discussions. First, the financing of establishments and pricing. A precise inventory was drawn up in order to better understand the financial challenges of nursing homes. The discussions focused in particular on changes in pricing, with a focus on modulated and differentiated pricing, aimed at better adapting resources to the specific needs of structures and residents.

Promoting careers in old age

Next, the attractiveness of careers in nursing homes. Faced with persistent recruitment difficulties in the sector, the Department has initiated an in-depth reflection on possible levers for action to support establishments. Several avenues have been explored, including local initiatives to promote professions for the elderly and strengthen support for professionals.

This work will continue with the aim of proposing concrete solutions adapted to the realities of the territory.
