The Lozère poultry club recently resumed its activities, while it had been dormant since the Covid-19 episode. On this occasion, the club held an extraordinary meeting on Saturday, January 11, 2025 to, among other things, form a new board.
The club, which had been dormant since the Covid-19 episode, recently resumed its activities, during a previous general meeting which took place at the beginning of December 2024. As a follow-up, the club held an extraordinary meeting on Saturday January 11, 2025, still in Barjac, where around twenty people were present.
The audience present first proceeded to a vote in order to form a new board. The elected president was Hervé Bertuit; vice-president was Bruno Bonnal; secretary was Virginie Condon; assistant secretary was Philippe Bertuit; treasurer was Francis Trippichio; assistant treasurer was Florian Martin; and board member was Hubert Trauchessec. The members decided to leave the club's membership fee at €20. The president reminds us of the obligation to join the union of poultry societies of Auvergne, to be able to order tattoo certificates, for rabbits and rings, for pigeons and poultry.

In terms of projects and prospects for 2025, the Lozère poultry club will be present on September 28, at the Haute Truyère show which will take place in Malzieu-Ville. They will have a 100 m2 marquee, to make a presentation and a sale of animals.
They will be happy to welcome a rabbit judge and perhaps a poultry judge, to help members prepare their subjects for future exhibitions. It was decided to form a group to order vaccines, in order to benefit from advantageous prices. It was decided to restart a Facebook page, to publicize the club and its news (members' results during outings to exhibitions and exchanges between clubs, etc.).
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to give information and advice to new members, to best prepare their animals for competitions or other. A next meeting will be scheduled when the new office has feedback on the administrative procedures for affiliation in progress.
