Vendredi, les membres de la retraite sportive ont eu droit à une visite du Viaduc de Millau, offerte par la Ville.

The weather is not ideal for a hike. Cold and humidity do not necessarily make you want to go outside, however, around thirty residents of the Retraite sportive millavoises are present for this guided tour of the Millau Viaduct. For some it is a first. They remember the stages of construction. “We were scared when we saw the twisted road, when there were no guy wires,” breathes Hélène.

Discovery of the model of the P4 pile

Between the Cheveux d'ange, the Foyer Capelle, the Club de l'Amitié, the Charmettes, there are about a hundred who have benefited from a free visit to the site operated by Eiffage. Those of Friday, had the luxury of discovering exclusively the model made by Clément Pons. This 29-year-old from Millau has carried out a reconstruction of the P4 pile construction site with the crane and the installations that were designed at the time to erect it.

They are in addition to the 410 children and chaperones from elementary schools in the Millau Grands Causses community of communes who benefited from these same visits, as part of the 20th anniversary.
