The Ultimate Mini PC ? Intel Combines Core Ultra 9 and CoPilot in a Compact Machine

Asus has just unveiled the NUC 14 Pro AI, a true condensed power in a miniature size. It integrates Copilot+ technology, but that's not its only asset. The Taiwanese company has made a big splash since it has also chosen to house an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. All in a black and fairly sleek case, reminding us of the design of a competitor: the Mac Mini M4.

Several architectures, but one word: power

The NUC 14 Pro AI offers a range of configurations based around five processor variations. From the Core Ultra 5 226V with its 16 GB of integrated RAM to the behemoth Core Ultra 9 288V with 32 GB of RAM, there is something for everyone.

The graphics capabilities reach 67 TOPS in GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), associated with the 48 TOPS of the NPU (Neural Processing Unit): colossal processing power which will be perfectly suited to demanding tasks(3D rendering, video, etc.) and artificial intelligence. For perspective, this combination of 115 TOPS far exceeds the capacity of supercomputers from two decades ago.

Storage is based on an M.2 2280 format coupled with a PCIe Gen 4 x4 interface. This configuration allows you to exploit NVMe SSDs from 256 GB to 2 TB with exceptional transfer speeds.

Miniaturization pushed to its paroxysm

The dimensions of the enclosure – 130 mm deep and wide for only 34 mm high – even surpass the compactness of the Mac Mini and its 50 mm high.

This reduction in scale does not hinder in any way the wealth of connections: a fingerprint reader on the top, a Copilot button on the front for voice commands to Microsoft's AI assistant, two USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port and a headphone jack complete the front panel.

The back accommodates an equally generous connectivity : 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, a second Thunderbolt 4, two additional USB-A ports and an HDMI output. In terms of wireless connectivity, we are in the best and most recent: WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The only shadows on the picture: Asus has not transmitted any information concerning a potential release date or even the price of the NUC 14 Pro AI. The only thing we can be sure about: it will not be positioned at the entry level given the announced specs.
