The White Lotus: why season 3 will be totally crazy

Launched in 2021 in the middle of the Covid crisis, the series The White Lotus immediately hit the mark. Its concept is very simple and based on the principle of the anthology. Each season we follow the adventures of wealthy tourists who stay for a week in the luxury hotel chain White Lotus.

“It will be bigger and crazier”

< p>A clever mix of drama and comedy, this fiction is attracting more and more people. So much so that season 3 is highly anticipated, and indeed, the creator of the series Mike White recently spoke about it.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he literally sold dreams, and promised an “out of the norm” White Lotus. The story will take place in Thailand, and for the occasion, the showrunner announces:

It will be longer, bigger, crazier. I don't know what people will think, but I'm super excited, so at least for my own barometer, it's a good thing… I'm super excited about the content of the season.

Among the other information we already have, we know that these new episodes will offer a “satirical and funny look at death, oriental religion and spirituality”. Another announcement that fans will appreciate: Belinda, the character played by Natasha Rothwell, will be back.

HBO, which broadcasts this series in the United States, is also excited about this project. Like Francesca Orsi, executive vice-president of programming for the American channel:“Reflecting on the humble, run-and-gun origin of ‘The White Lotus’ As a pandemic production, it's impossible not to be impressed by the way Mike orchestrated one of the hottest and most critically acclaimed shows… We couldn't be more thrilled to have the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”

Unfortunately, we'll have to have a lot of patience before be able to follow this season 3 of The White Lotus. Due to the writers' and actors' strike which paralyzed Hollywood for many months, it is not expected to be broadcast until 2025.
