The Witch's Bakery: This Atypical French Game About a Parisian Bakery is a Hit on Kickstarter

This clever mix of “Kiki's Delivery Service” and running a bakery has already raised over €100,000 in donations.

Video games set in France, and more specifically in the capital, are not really rare these days. But when one of them has a special charm, it is our duty to highlight it.

“The Witch’s Bakery” is a 2D adventure/simulation game that lets you play as a young witch named Lunne. No magic school here since the young girl's goal is to set up her own bakery in Paris! To do this, she obviously uses her management and baking skills, but also her magical powers which allow her to explore the hearts of those around her.

But managing Lunne's Bakery is only a tiny part of the gameplay in “The Witch’s Bakery”. The title also intends to offer other ideas, including a visit to the city and its famous places such as the grand boulevards or the quai des bouquinistes. Lovers of Paris will be able to stroll around the capital and recognize their favorite neighborhoods while meeting people there.
