At 26 and 30 years old, Émilie, Camille and Mathieu have become the owners of a house near Loches, in Indre-et-Loire. A country house completely abandoned for 15 years with the aim of renovating and then renting out the house as a gîte.

The three young people discover the house when Camille and Émilie's parents move in next door according to Le Figaro. “After some research, we learned that it had been uninhabited for 15 years and that the previous owner, who had passed away, had bequeathed it to an association working for people with disabilities,” explains Émilie.

If the house did not require major work, the renovations were carried out entirely by themselves or almost. “So far, we have only called on a professional to change the frames. We did the plumbing, electrics and insulation ourselves“, helped by their handyman father.

Objective for the young owners, 50 nights of rental in the first year, then double that by 2026 before moving on to the second stage of the project: “install a masonry spa in the vaulted cellar in tuffeau stone”.
