IN BRIEF

  • Françoise Fabian, 91, continues to shine in theater, on television and in cinema, and has just released a new album with Léonard Lasry and Élisa Point.
  • In an interview with Le Figaro, she expressed her disinterest in social networks and artificial intelligence, preferring to focus on her friends and her career.
  • Discover how Françoise Fabian approaches the future with serenity and an intact passion for life and art.

A new challenge! At 91, Françoise Fabian is still in great shape and continues to work. In the theater, on television, in the cinema… The actress is everywhere! If moviegoers recently found her in Finally, Claude Lelouch's latest film, she has just released a second album, L’heure d’un rendez-vous, where she worked exclusively with music by Léonard Lasry and lyrics by Élisa Point.

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in an interview with Le Figaro, the artist explained : “They were the ones who came to propose ça to me. Élisa came with a song that touched me a lot by talking to me about a film that I had shot with Maurice Ronet. She explained to me that she had been inspired by me. After ça, Léonard Lasry came to introduce me to a whole range of very beautiful songs”.

Françoise Fabian: “I don't have a place in it anymore”

During this interview, the actress was also asked about our times. “Social media disgusts me, I can't stand it. Artificial intelligence is good for NASA, but not for us. We don't need all this disgusting information for the most part”, she blurted out before adding: “I don't belong in this anymore, not at all. I'm lucky to have friends that I love and who protect me from all this. I'm very happy to be my age because I know that, well, it's going to end soon. I'm looking forward to it very calmly”.

Tuesday, November 12, 2024, on France Info, It was while evoking the passing of time that Françoise Fabian declared: “What I have done, I consider it a gift. I have had so much happiness. I have met such wonderful people, I have had such extraordinary parents who have given me, who have allowed me to have an extraordinary life”.

Françoise Fabian: “Do I want the future ?”

“I have met wonderful people, I have met extraordinary friends, but I am losing more and more of them when even at my age, right ? And I don't know, do I want the future ?”, she had wondered. In September 2018, in the columns of Femme Actuelle, she had also assured herself that she could not realize that she was the age she was.

In all transparency, the star had declared : “I live things as they come, until they stop. I've been sick like everyone else, I've suffered like everyone else, but I've never complained. I'm interested in many things and I'm never bored. I live completely alone, solitude suits me. I'm fine with books and music. I've had so many people in my life and the age I have, I have it by all these memories that are in me. And it continues, there are still people who are interested in me… I take advantage of it at every moment”.
