While remote working was popular at the start of the pandemic, the situation has gradually changed. Many business leaders have gradually required their employees to return to work on site. However, a recent study conducted by the International Workplace Group (IWG) among more than 500 British CEOs reveals some rather surprising findings.
It appears that 93% of executives say they do not go to the office full time and prefer to opt for flexible working methods. However, nearly a quarter of them say at the same time that returning to on-site work is a priority.
In detail, only 7% of CEOs go to the office five days a week while 64% of people whose salary is less than 35,000 euros do the same. As noted by our colleagues at Fortune, we don’t have to look far for the reasons for this preference for remote work among business leaders.
The survey shows that, like other employees, managers want to avoid the long commute (public transport or traffic jams) required to get to their company.

In the past, he explained:
If you’re counting on forced hours spent in a traditional office to create collaboration and a sense of belonging within your organization, you’re doing it wrong.
He added: “Ultimately, we’re committed to enabling our team members around the world to choose the work style that best fits their lifestyle, whether that’s remote work, in an office or a mixture of both.”.
And the CEO concludes: “Our business results show that it's working for us, and I think this model will eventually be adopted as the future of work.”.
