Smokers will have to add 30 to 50 cents for a pack of 20 cigarettes, depending on the brand and manufacturer. MIDI LIBRE – S. C.

Several products will cost more this year. Here are which ones.

Dozens of products will cost more in 2025, starting with vehicle registration cards.

Indeed, seven regions have decided to increase one of their taxes, on the fiscal horsepower (CV) in January or February. In the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, it goes from €51.20 to €59 and in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, from €45 to €53.

The other increase concerns gas boilers due to an increase in VAT.

The 5.5% VAT on very high energy performance (THPE) gas boilers and their installation, increases to 10% this year.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

This could increase again by 10% in the future Bayrou budget. This would bring the increase to 20%.

30 to 50 cents more for a pack of cigarettes

Tobacco is not immune to the increase. Smokers will have to add 30 to 50 cents for a pack of 20 cigarettes, depending on the brand and manufacturer. Expect to pay €12.50 for Lucky Strike Red (compared to €12 in 2024) to €13 for Marlboro (50 cents more).

Rolling tobacco and cigars are also affected. Other increases could be voted on during the year, as part of future State and Social Security Budgets.

Stamps and colissimo on the rise

Finally, stamps will increase: the Post Office is increasing its prices. For example, you will have to pay 10 cents more for a green letter, going from €1.29 to €1.39. The registered letter (20 g) increases from €5.36 to €5.74.

For Colissimo, rates for individuals increase by an average of 5.2%.
