Who is he ?

Abandoned at a very young age in Thailand where he was born, Tony Peillon was adopted at the age of 3 by a French couple. His adoptive parents divorced when he was 16, before he left home when he came of age. The psychiatric expert appointed by the courts detected in him a “predatory character”, as well as a “tendency to abuse seduction, manipulation, and even control”.

Convicted eight times for scams and traffic violations from September 2014 to March 2021, Tony Peillon went to Ukraine in February 2022, he explained to investigators, to set up an advanced medical post from which to launch humanitarian missions. In reality, he took on a new identity as a former special forces officer, according to Le Parisien, and defrauded volunteers out of €6,000. He was imprisoned upon his return to France in March 2022.

His years of duplicity caught up with him when a victim of his scams, interviewed by investigators, revealed that he had also raped her. Then five other alleged victims of rape or sexual assault were identified. The acts were allegedly committed between the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2021 in Rennes, Albi (Tarn) and Narbonne (Aude).

These women “were duped by the different stories that Mr. Peillon had invented”, Quentin Blanchet Magon, lawyer for two victims, told AFP. He allegedly stole money from them, and even a dog for one of them. Then, in addition to scamming them, “took advantage of them”. According to the testimonies of the alleged victims before investigators, the accused allegedly found a way to sleep with them or in the same room.
