Each year, the specialist site European Best Destinations establishes a ranking of the “Best Destinations in Europe”, based on the votes of over one million travelers from 172 countries. This year, 2024, it is a historic and cultural region in the north-east of France that has surprisingly carved out a place for itself in the top 20 of the ranking, among more conventional dream destinations such as London, Florence and Siena.
