The section between the Girac roundabout and the city center is well advanced compared to the western part still under construction.

The northern part of the tramway line 5 construction site is progressing very well. We are even witnessing the very last rail welds on this sector between the Girac roundabout (Clapiers) and the connection with line 1 in the city center.

A section that will host the first tests in July

New stations have even been installed on this section, which is much more advanced than the western part (between the Genneveaux roundabout and Saint-Denis). For the latter, there is still major work to be done on the Lavérune road, where many workers are busy, despite the bad weather.

On the western part, almost all the rails are connected. This is the sector that should host the first tests of the new trains in July.
