Twelve dates for opening shops authorized in 2025 in Nîmes

The municipal council of December 14th authorized several Sunday openings in Nîmes in 2025.

During the municipal council of Saturday December 14th, the elected officials adopted the Sunday opening dates for the year 2025. A choice that was made after consulting the presidents of the associations of traders, directors of hypermarkets, shopping centers, consular chambers and with the opinion of the community council of Nîmes metropolis.

The branches of activity concerned are as follows: food, pet supplies, jewelry, watches, goldsmithing, shoes, leather goods, luggage, La Coupole, culture, gifts, stationery, household appliances, video, hi-fi, IT, telephony, photography and accessories, car equipment, motorcycles, everything related to the home (decoration, drugstore), supermarkets, shopping malls, hygiene, care, dietetics, beauty, games, toys, optics, sports, leisure and textiles.

The first Sunday opening will be carried out as part of the winter sales on Sunday January 12. For the summer sales, the stores will open on Sunday June 29. The stores will also be able to welcome their customers during festive and popular events specific to Nîmes. This will be the case during the Roman Days on Sunday, April 27, as well as on June 8 during the Pentecost feria.

Open days at car dealerships

The end-of-year holidays will also benefit from openings on Sundays, December 7, 14, 21, 28, and November 30, as will the start of the school year (August 31), Easter (April 20), without publishing a commercial event (October 19).

The union of automotive distribution and services trades Mobilans Occitanie has also requested openings on Sundays to organize their open days: January 19, March 16, June 15, September 14, and October 12, 2025.
