The two people, who have not been identified, were found Monday night at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, north of Miami, “in the landing gear compartment of one of our aircraft during a routine post-flight inspection,” JetBlue said.

An investigation to identify the individuals

“At this time, the identity of the individuals and the circumstances surrounding how they accessed the aircraft are still under investigation”, adds the company, according to which the Airbus aircraft was coming from JFK airport in New York.

No information has been given on flights made by the aircraft outside the United States, while migrants sometimes risk their lives to flee their country by hiding in the landing gear.

On December 24, a lifeless body was found in the landing gear of a United Airlines flight that was coming to land in Maui, on the island of Hawaii, from Chicago.
