Two young people arrested in the Chemin Bas d’Avignon and Mas de Mingue districts of Nîmes for possession of narcotics

This Thursday, January 2, 2025, the national police carried out several arrests in priority neighborhoods of Nîmes. The first, a 20-year-old man, was stopped at 3:30 p.m. in the Chemin Bas d’Avignon neighborhood. He was in possession of a few grams of cocaine and €350. He was given a summons by a judicial police officer.

He fled and tried to take refuge in a bar

The second, an 18-year-old, was arrested in the Mas de Mingue district. According to the national police, he was selling narcotics. When the police arrived, the individual fled and tried to take refuge in a bar. He was arrested in possession of €950. A bag containing approximately 100 g of cannabis was also found near a drug dealing point. He was brought before the court on January 3.
