US Open 2024: Djokovic makes his comeback, 13 French players on the courts… Live scores and results

The US Open, the last Grand Slam tournament, takes place from August 26 to September 8.

A few weeks after Novak Djokovic's Olympic victory, the US Open tournament in ;starts this Monday, August 26, with Novak Djokovic and Gaël Monfils on the program.

After successful qualifying on the French side, there are thirteen players entering the competition this Monday evening. In the men's competition, Kyrian Jacquet faces Grigor Dimitrov while the number one French player Ugo Humbert is up against Tiago Monteiro.

For his last US Open, Dominic Thiem will open the legendary central court at Flushing Meadows against the local Ben Shelton. Two French players are also scheduled on the central court of the US Open for difficult first rounds: Varvara Gracheva against world number three Coco Gauff, and Clara Burel against Sloane Stephens. Finally, Novak Djokovic will close the night session against Radu Albot.

In the other matches of the day, Lorenzo Musetti faces the returning Opelka while Arthur Cazaux is opposed to Pablo Carreno Busta. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard will have to be wary of Tomas Martin Etcheverry. Casper Ruud also begins his tournament after several difficult weeks, as does Aryna Sabalenka, who on the contrary seems to be at her best level.
