The Vendée Globe, the biggest solo, non-stop race, is underway. Follow the map and real-time ranking.
Four years after Yannick Bestaven's victory, the 10th edition of the Vendée Globe set off this Sunday from Les Sables d'Olonne. And as tradition dictates, the start was given at 1:02 p.m. In 2024, will the record be broken ? As a reminder, the record is held by Armel Le Cléac, who had completed the race in 74 days 3 hours 35 minutes and 46 seconds in 2017. A record that was set due to the “mild” conditions, particularly up to the Cape of the Equator. Here is the real-time map of the Vendée Globe to follow the race live.
The Vendée Globe course
In total, 45,000 kilometers are on the program with a distance of 24,300 nautical miles theoretically passing through three capes: Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn, all without stopovers and without assistance.
