Véronique and Agathe: shared passion

Spread the love

Between Véronique Moulette, ceremony officiant and multifaceted artist, and Agathe Frezouls, winemaker at the Enclos de la Croix in Lansargues, an obvious connection was formed. These two enthusiasts met thanks to Véronique's sister, a ceramicist based in the third place that Agathe imagined at the heart of her wine estate. Each in their own way, they cultivate the taste for sharing, conviviality and good wine.

“Emotion and the festive side bring us together,” confides Véronique. I have been celebrating secular weddings and baptisms since 2012. I like to pass on my passions, especially to young people. I tell them that everyone has a talent, that they must cultivate it to make a career out of it.” A true free spirit, Véronique spent two decades on stage before reinventing her career, and even her life: “At 60, I am a young bride after 24 years of relationship. There is no age to live your dreams”.

“As a winegrower, you have to reinvent yourself”

A philosophy shared by Agathe Frezouls, who has transformed her family heritage into a land of innovation. Coming from the eighth generation of winegrowers, she took a bold turn by reducing the estate from 23 to 8 hectares, to launch an inspiring third place. Around this project gravitate a market gardener, a ceramicist, a shepherd and a nurseryman who replanted 8,500 trees in agroforestry. “As a farmer, we have to reinvent ourselves, open our doors to recreate a connection with consumers. This summer, we are opening a guinguette with a Kilomètre Zéro cuisine, to continue in the vein of wine tourism”.

One thing is certain, these two women are not lacking in audacity or projects. Véronique, pen in hand and smile on her lips, prepares her songs to liven up Agathe's guinguette evenings. “What we do doesn't feel like work, it's a passion that we live and share together,” she concludes.
