The Longueuil agglomeration police service (SPAL) is launching a appeal to the public to identify potential victims of Julien Bouchard, a man who sexually assaulted at least five children during the 1990s while working as a children's entertainer and clown.
The man, now 64 years old, was convicted in 2000 for sexual assault on minors committed in the 1990s.< /p>
Julien Bouchard was, however, arrested again on January 18, in Longueuil, to answer other charges of contact and sexual assault on minors.
The accused was released under strict conditions pending further proceedings against him.
According to agent Ghyslain Vallières, prevention specialist at SPAL, new information obtained by investigators suggests that Julien Bouchard could have caused other victims between 1996 and 1998, while he served as entertainer, kayak instructor, clown and guitarist at religious events.

This is why the SPAL is appealing to the public and inviting people who could have been victims of Bouchard or who have information to come forward in a completely confidential manner by calling 450 463-7011 or 911.
Agent Vallières specifies that these attacks were mainly committed on minors under the age of 14, in the agglomeration of Longueuil or elsewhere in Quebec, mainly between 1996 and 1998.
This is why the photo distributed by the police force shows the appearance that the accused had at that time.
