At 29, Kilian Larher became the French electric scooter champion. A rising figure in an emerging discipline, he takes us behind the scenes of this new speed sport.
Kilian Larher is the first French electric scooter champion, a discipline that is still little known, integrated into the French Motorcycling Federation (FFM). Originally from central France, he has made this simple means of transport a new sporting passion.
Titled champion at the first French championships in Alès in January 2024, Kilian has established himself as one of the leaders of this sport, combining speed and technical mastery.
These competition machines are specially designed for racing, capable of reaching speeds of up to 150 km/h. They are equipped with powerful engines at the front and rear, with robust suspensions, slick tires for better grip and motorcycle brakes for effective braking.
Like motorcyclists, riders are equipped with a helmet, gloves, boots and a suit. “Scooters, contrary to what you might think at first when you say scooter, are not at all a child's sport, they are very technical and very physical” he explains.
