VIDEO. “I went to HEC, oysters and shellfish”: “Krystel the blonde”, the essential fishmonger on social networks

Spread the love

From fishmonger to influencer, Krystel the blonde has conquered social networks thanks to her naturalness and energy. We spent a day with her, behind the scenes of her daily life, from the Narbonne market halls to her second residence in Gruissan.

At 36, Krystel, alias “Krystel la blonde”, has more than 800,000 subscribers on Tiktok. A fishmonger by trade, she has made it her main subject in her videos. Her frankness, energy and authentic content make her an essential personality on social networks. We followed her for a day and since Krystel is half the year in Gruissan, it was only natural that the fishmonger l'étoile de mer, which is located in the Narbonne market halls, welcomed us for the occasion. But this time, Krystel went behind the display to explain to us the job of a fishmonger, before showing us how she creates her content when she gets home.

A bet won

It all started with a bet that her daughter made to her “Mom, I'll give you six months to have ten thousand subscribers on TikTok”, in one month, success was there since she reached fifty thousand subscribers. She first follows the trending content and posts actings, interpreting cult scenes from the series “un gars et une fille” since in the comments, many attribute to her a physical and vocal resemblance to the actress Alexandra Lamy.

The beginning of the fish and shellfish content

Some time later, while she is in the back room of the fishmonger where she works, the idea comes to her! “Why not take a seafood product and explain to people how it works” she remembers. So this is the beginning of the fish and shellfish content on social networks, “it took on a disproportionate scale, so I continued” she explains.

But Krystel is also an endearing mother who reveals moments of family life without artifice and without trickery of real life. She also uses this new visibility for humanitarian causes, during the floods in Valencia and more recently for Mayotte.

Today, she has become an influencer and mainly offers content focused on the world of the sea, vlogs of her daily life, while sometimes returning to her first passion, fishmongering.
