From traditional brushes to fingers, to objects that surround him, he paints to the rhythm of the music that he makes resonate on Place du Peyrou.

Originally from Senegal and living in Montpellier for over 25 years, Ouzin, a former dental technician who turned professional, is a self-taught painter and performance artist. “I've been painting live for a few years now,” he explains.

“With anything I can make a work of art”

He uses brushes, his fingers and various objects to create canvases in warm colors and transforms each performance into a live show, captivating his audience.

His art, inspired by the landscapes of Senegal and the Camargue, takes shape live, under the effect of the music that inspires him: “I can paint a work of art, the time of a piece of music.” Without an easel, standing, he performs energetically, sometimes singing.
