Volleyball: Béziers Angels beat defending champion Levallois and move up to Women's League A

After its 3-0 victory last week against the bottom team, Béziers continues, again at home, but against the reigning champion and current second, Levallois. A 3-set win to 1 in a benchmark match.

From the start, Béziers and Paris put in the intensity to start this last match of the first leg of the Saforelle Power Six. The Angels are in the lead and at 13-8, it is Paris who requests the first stoppage of play of the game, without much effect. 16-9 then 20-12, Béziers unrolls a pleasant Volley and logically wins the first set 25-19.
At the start of the second set, the teams trade blows 8-8. Then the players of Fréderic Havas applied themselves, chaining together beautiful receptions and decisive attacks to lead 14-9 then 18-11. A high-level match like the 20th point of Béziers, won at the end of a real marathon 20-15. But nothing is ever acquired against Paris, which does not give up, comes back with courage 21-21 and wins 24-26.

No decisive set

So everything has to be redone for Béziers. As in the previous set, the start of the set is very balanced 8-8, then the Béziers team takes the lead 12-8 then 20-15. A scenario almost identical to the previous set, but better finished by the Angels this time 25-21.
Conclude or inflict a tie-break, such is the challenge of this fourth set for Béziers-Volley. Knowing that this season, the decisive sets have not been successful for them.
