Les Sétois vont défier Tourcoing, ce dimanche 29 décembre.

Like every year, the famous “Boxing Day”, imagined by the National Volleyball League to promote derbies, will send Arago… to the other end of France. While Cannes, for example, will go to Chaumont, the Sète team will visit Tourcoing this Sunday (5 p.m.). The formula is running at full speed.

A champion's journey

Second gift (but the LNV has nothing to do with it this time), Luc Marquet's gang will resume the championship with a trip to the leader. Not easy at all. The Tourquennois, led by a Tizi Oualou who, at 19 years old, represents the future of French volleyball, are indeed the scarecrows in this Marmara SpikeLigue. Leading with 29 points (ahead of Chaumont at 28 and Montpellier at 27), they have only suffered one defeat while their two pursuers have already conceded four. A true champion's journey, with five inaugural victories, then a strange exit at home against Paris (0-3) followed by six new victories.

During the first leg, at the Béziers sports hall, the Sétois lost 1-3. After some resistance (one set each, the 3rd lost 26-28), they were literally destroyed in the fourth set (16-25). It's time to believe in the miracle of Christmas.
