Vuelta 2024: results of the 2nd stage and general classification

Spread the love

After the first time trial, the 2nd stage of the Vuelta & ;eacute;was promised to the sprinters

The opening time trial through the streets of Lisbon gave the first red leader's jersey to American Brandon McNulty. But with Wout van Aert just 3 seconds behind, that leader's jersey was clearly in danger with this rare opportunity for sprinters. For defending champion Sepp Kuss, it was a reassuring start even though he lost time to almost all the favourites, including 36 seconds to the big favourite Primoz Roglic. “It's always cool to win for sure, being confident is super important. This win in Burgos came at a good time just before La Vuelta. Everyone's form? It's hard to say, it's so early in the race, and it was quite special. I think the first mountain stage will be a much better indicator. 23&y=2024&s=2&lang=FR” width=”100%”>
