Bastien Vasseur aura bien guidé l'attaque du MWP. – Dorian Cayuela.
Après son revers à domicile face à Marseille, le MWP a rebondi face à Reims, malgré un début de match compliqué.
A first period devoid of goals for long minutes. The shots, although very clear on the Montpellier side, found the crossbar, others did not pass the scoring zone by a few centimeters. The defensive actions were just as alert on the home side at the start of the second half, but the score still did not increase.

Bastien Vasseur's long-range, slightly bell-shaped shot really unlocked the attack. It was especially in defense that the MWP showed creativity, combining active screens on rampart arms and a very mobile Lazar Andric in his goal.
Defense and standing ovation
The attack was violent, Montpellier possessed without converting but Reims scored faster. In the middle of the third period, the score was only four all.
The collaboration that changed everything was that of an infallible Andric – almost one hundred percent saves in his third quarter – finding on the restart a Van Der Burg scoring one after the other. Vasin supported in defense but his teammates regretted missed shots that did not allow them to break away from more than one goal before the final quarter.
Masterful in the last period, Lazar Andric was the great man of this match, bringing to his feet a crowd conquered by his many saves. His restarts – a phenomenal pass on the final goal – put his teammates on the path to a victory that was slow to emerge.
Fourth place acquired and fans conquered. The goalkeeper even made a short speech to his supporters at Angelotti's microphone.
