At MHB, the transfer market continues to be in full swing, even before the last match of the year 2024, this Friday evening in Chartres for the 15th day of Starligue.

After the arrival of left-back Zvonimir Srna (Zagreb), pivot Rogerio Moraes (Melsungen), and center-half Augustin Casado (Veszprém), Montpellier will welcome a fourth player into its ranks starting next year.

In the person of PSG left winger, young Léo Plantin (21 years old, 1.86 m), trained in Nancy, who will pair up with Swede Lucas Pellas. Following information from our colleagues at Est Républicain, MHB president Julien Deljarry confirmed the matter to Midi Libre. “We are not far from an agreement”, he informs.

Plantin will replace Fernandez

And for good reason, the Montpellier club did not wish to activate the optional year of its current left winger, the Spaniard Jaime Fernandez, who arrived in Hérault after the injury and then the departure of Hugo Descat in 2023.

“Léo Plantin is indeed one of the players to replace Jaime”, continues president Deljarry. The latter did not wish to give further details concerning the future contract between the two parties, while no medical examination has yet been passed by the player.

Fernandez will be the fourth player to leave Erick Mathé's team next season since Stas Skube (center half) was not extended, Karl Konan (defender) was recruited by PSG, Ahmed Hesham (left back) by Veszprém and Veron Nacinovic (pivot) by Kiel.
