Jean-Marie Bigard is an important support for Pierre Palmade. From the Bordeaux prison, he often chats with his comedian friend. And he doesn't yet know how he's going to be able to celebrate Christmas…

IN BRIEF
- Pierre Palmade, convicted of involuntary injuries, is imprisoned at Bordeaux since the beginning of December
- Jean-Marie Bigard supports Pierre Palmade, stating that he is “truly repentant” and could serve his sentence with an electronic bracelet.
- Pierre Palmade's situation divides his close ones.
Pierre Palmade sleeps behind bars. Convicted of unintentional injuries, the comedian has been imprisoned in Bordeaux since the beginning of December. Imprisoned in a special section of the prison, his letters and calls are filtered. In particular the one he made to Jean-Marie Bigard. A close friend for decades with Pierre Palmade, the comedian actually spoke to him on the phone recently, as he explained to Jordan de Luxe this Friday, December 20.
Unlike other artists, whom he has publicly named, Jean-Marie Bigard has not turned his back on Pierre Palmade. “If you knew how proud I am to hear Pierre tell me that I am one of the only ones left. Pierre was adored by everyone and all of a sudden, he becomes unsavoury”, regretted Lola Marois' companion on the C8 set.

According to him, Pierre Palmade was “punished in an incredibly violent manner”. “He told me: 'I am destroyed. I wake up with this, I go to sleep with this'. He is really repentant, he will do everything he can to alleviate, if possible, the grief he has caused this family”, assured Jean-Marie Bigard. Incarcerated, the comedian will have a somewhat special end-of-year holiday.
“For Christmas, I think he'll stay in Bordeaux. We don't know exactly what's going to happen, Jean-Marie Bigard nevertheless specified. Will he be in prison or will he have a bracelet ?” Indeed, we don't know yet whether Pierre Palmade will stay behind bars for a long time. Because of his state of health, the justice system could authorize him to serve his sentence in outside with an electronic bracelet.
“Shame on Muriel Robin”
According to Jean-Marie Bigard, prison “is scary” to his friend. “Prison, you have to know that you have two covers. You are in a week of examination period, we watch your behavior, […] it's extremely hard. I'm all in with him. When I call him, it's to tell him to hold on, not to give up”, he described. During his time on C8, he didn't miss to pay (again) Muriel Robin.
“Shame on Muriel Robin! She allows herself to do sketches that she co-signed with Pierre Palmade for her one-woman show but she forbids her two plays (Ils se sont aimeés and Ils re-aiment, editor's note) to be performed because they would bring royalties to Pierre Palmade”, he was offended. A long-time friend of the comedian, Muriel Robin cut the bridges. But not only because of the accident he caused as she had confided.
