The good weather and the heat have finally set in, but will they last until August 15th? ? This year, the celebration of the Assumption falls on a Thursday and therefore allows for an interesting bridge by taking Friday off. According to La Chaine Météo, the weekend of August 10 and 11 will be summery. On Saturday, the weather will be nice across the country with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees in the south and remaining warm in the north with temperatures of 29 degrees. On Sunday, it will be the same with a few more degrees. For the following week from August 12 to 18, if reliability remains a little uncertain, the scenario that seems most likely is that of a “rise to warmer air mass over the country, corresponding to high temperatures, without knowing yet whether or not it will be a heatwave.

However, this trend could quickly fade at the end of the week. From Thursday night, La Chaine météo announces a change in the weather with “the return of the zonal ocean flow”. It would bring freshness, even rain. A contrast would be perceptible between the north and the south.

Almost similar forecast at Météo-France, the weather could well be uncertain with some rainy spells on Thursday afternoon, particularly in the north of the country, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees. The sun would remain in the south-east, which would also benefit from a few extra degrees. Météo-France nevertheless predicts an improvement in the weekend.

For the trends of the week of the bridge, Météo-France indicates "at the beginning of the week, temperatures are falling across the country but remain above normal, with the highest temperatures persisting only around the Mediterranean. In the second half of the week, the drop is more pronounced with temperatures returning to “the scale of the territory of seasonal values, except on the Mediterranean rim where the heat is maintained”.
