Keysom, deeptech founded in 2022 and based in Pessac in Gironde , has just raised 4 million euros. A sum that will allow it to continue its development in a highly competitive sector, but with very strong potential.
A no-code tool for manufacturing custom processors
Because Keysom specializes in the highly sought-after field of chips, with a very specific idea: offer an alternative to generic processors dedicated to industrials. Present everywhere on the market and generally based on the ARM architecture, they are versatile and equip almost all electronic devices, from IoT to automobiles.
But they have significant limitations ” in terms of cost, energy performance and efficiency, because 50% of the functionalities of these processors are never used “, explains the startup in a press release. If customization is preferred by customers, production times are currently too high.
And this is where Keysom wants to change the game. She has developed a smart tool called Keysom Studio, which allows you to design custom processors in ” no code », that is to say without the need for in-depth technical knowledge. The startup is based on the Risc-V architecture, an open alternative to ARM, and offers more than 12 million possible variations.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000” Where manufacturers pay for oversized generic processors, which generate costs and energy waste, a custom processor uses less raw material (here silicon), leading to lower production costs and simplified manufacturing processes “, explains Luca Testa, co-founder and COO of Keysom.
Strategic market
During its recent funding round, which complements an initial fundraising of 1 million euros in 2022, the deeptech company notably received support from the French Tech Seed, managed on behalf of the State by Bpifrance as part of France 2030.
« This fundraising is an important milestone in our growth strategy. It gives us the means to further accelerate the development of our technology and to carry out our commercial expansion in new markets. We firmly believe that our no-code tool will redefine the way manufacturers approach the design and optimization of their systems », comments Cyril Sagonero, President of Keysom.
The startup, which first plans to strengthen its R&D teams, is aiming for profitability by 2026. It expects a turnover of 10 million euros the following year. Keysom is tackling a market where demand is constantly increasing, representing major sovereignty issues.
