According to the new rumor, the current version of GPT-5 is not powerful enough to justify its costs, even though the AI ​​is better.

In addition, OpenAI would also need an astronomical amount of data to train this new AI, and would no longer be able to rely on public data and data that it can exploit thanks to its licensing agreements. As a result, in order to train the future GPT-5, the creator of ChatGPT would pay people to create the data it needs. OpenAI would also use “synthetic” data that was created by its other AI models, such as o1.

Competition is getting tougher in the sector

As usual, this information should be considered with caution, since it does not come from an official source. But in any case, if ChatGPT already has very intelligent models, its creator must continue to innovate so as not to be eclipsed by the competition.
