You probably know that Christmas is just around the corner. If you still have any doubts, we invite you to take a stroll around your city centre or any shopping centre, outrageously decorated for the occasion. Or turn on your television to watch the many commercials reminding you that Christmas is just a few days away… And don't forget the Ferrero Rocher.
While everyone is busy and already starting preparations for the famous meal or running to finish their Christmas presents on time, you want to take a magical break ? Like every year, there are the great Christmas classics to watch or re-watch. It’s always a good idea whether your go-to is Love Actually, The Grinch, The Polar Express or Home Alone. We’re not judging. But if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas while learning something new, we’ve got the show for you.
Whatever your Christmas plans are, we highly recommend you start watching Dash & Lilyon Netflix this weekend. A touch of cheesiness, a good dose of Christmas magic and a bit of originality… With all these ingredients, this series is the perfect program a few days before Christmas.
A hot chocolate, a cozy blanket, Dash & Lily… Here's something to get you carried away by the holiday spirit. On paper, the series ticks all the boxes of the good old M6 TV movie that we love so much. Even if we don't necessarily dare to say it.
It’s Christmas in New York when the paths of Dash, an eternally disillusioned man who hates the holiday season, and Lily, a bubbly young girl who looooves Christmas, cross. A mysterious red notebook filled with challenges and other words left in a bookstore… And we are carried away by Dash & Lily during the eight 25-minute episodes of the series.

While the two characters are destined to spend Christmas alone in their corner, voluntarily or not, they will find themselves in a strange epistolary relationship. The song Fairytale of New Yorkechoes in all four corners of the city and the Rockefeller Center tree shines brightly… So, dare or not dare ?
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Dash & Lily, it's a series that warms the heart. If you want to believe in love again, this is the ideal program. Despite their drastic differences, Dash and Lily get to know each other through the pages of this funny red notebook. In the age of social networks and other dating apps, the latter is a refreshing banner. Of course, it's cheesy. Well yes, it's a Christmas series. However, we don't fall into the dripping marshmallow of good feelings. It's just what we need to make us spend a very sweet and comforting moment.
With great kindness, the two teenagers challenge each other and push each other out of their comfort zone. More than a love story, Dash and Lily are giving us a life lesson. Whether the challenges are ridiculous like eating a pretzel that is way too salty or more daring like dancing like no one is watching, Dash and Lily lift each other up. And make us want to do the same at the same time.
The series is carried by Austin Abrams (Euphoria ; If You Revenge Me) and Midori Francis (A Deadly After) and the two actors shine with their authenticity. So much so that Dash and Lily stand out as two very endearing characters to whom we will have a hard time saying goodbye after the eighth episode. Although we find many clichés in this series, it nevertheless manages to avoid certain easy options. And for that, we thank it.

Another interesting point ? The rhythm of Dash & Lily, which is perfectly mastered. In spite of ourselves, we find ourselves chaining the episodes to see this epistolary relationship evolve… And discover the famous meeting of the two young people that we are promised !
Without having the pretension of changing our lives or being “the series of the year”, Dash & Lily is everything we expect from a Christmas series. It's light, it's cute, it's touching and it makes us want to fall in love in the streets of New York for the end-of-year holidays. Whether you're like Dash and hate Christmas or you're more of a Team Lily type, the series should find its way to your heart.
Released in 2020 on Netflix, it's never too late to discover Dash & Lily. We can even say that the timing is extremely well chosen. While we are disappointed to know that the series will never have a second season, it does not end on an unbearable cliffhanger, unlike some series that Netflix chooses to cancel out of the blue.
Another piece of good news ? is that Dash & Lily is an adaptation of the first volume of the trilogy written by Rachel Cohn. So, you can make the pleasure last if you liked the series.
