It has been talked about for a long time: Max Roustan's 30 years as mayor of Alès will be celebrated in style. The date has been set: it will be February 22, on the sidelines of various events. On the other hand, what about the passing of the torch, during the term of office, between the mayor and his first deputy Christophe Rivenq, also president of Alès Agglomeration, announced during the campaign for the last municipal elections ?

While nothing will be revealed during the festivities for Max Roustan's three decades, an announcement could be made on March 8, because, says, not without malice, an elected official of the City, “they want to “episode” this event”. That day, the date of the transfer of power would thus be revealed: March 15. That is, five years to the day after his fifth victory in the Alès municipal elections!

Towards an extraordinary municipal council

One thing is certain, members of the council have already noted this date in their agendas, the morning of which will be marked by a municipal council, during which the election of the new mayor would be held, after the resignation of Max Roustan from his position as chief magistrate.
