Winter sales have started in Béziers stores.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Small crowds this morning in the shops of Béziers. Whether at the Polygone, or in the establishments of the city center, this first day of the winter sales did not really unleash the crowds. Some, like Ranya, still went to take advantage of the first good deals. “I go to the sales every year, it's a kind of ritual”, smiles this 23-year-old student, who has not yet found what she is looking for. As for this relative craze for the first markdown, the young woman has her own hypothesis: “I think that other operations like Black Friday are competing with traditional sales and what's more, I find that there aren't really any good deals anymore”.
On the retail side, they have made the same observation. “The sales are working less and less”, says Mélodie, director of Célio at the Polygone. “It's quieter than last year, but we still make a slightly higher turnover during this period, and that allows us to sell off our stock.” A little further down the aisles of the shopping center, Marie, 39, comes out of a store with her arms full of bags.
This “shopaholic” as she defines herself wouldn't miss the event for anything in the world. “It's super important, it allows you to dress the whole family at a lower cost”, she explains. For this first shopping session, the young mother spent about €150. Because there will be others, and Marie intends to come back later for the last markdowns, “when there are the most interesting deals”.
At the exit of the Polygon, Victoria and her friend of the same name discuss the changes in consumption patterns. The first one confides “hating stores” and only buys second-hand: “Out of ecological conviction and because it's simply better quality than today's clothes”. The second one only does her shopping online and only buys clothes that she considers to be of superior quality: “I prefer to spend €100 on a good pair of jeans once a year rather than buying “crap” that will wear out after a month”. Or how the limits of “fast fashion” also impact the sales ritual.
