Tick toc tick tock, time passes, and the release of the film Without a sound: day 1 is fast approaching. It is in fact on June 26, 2024 that this third part of the franchise will be released in theaters. To wait, we'll tell you everything you need to know about this sequel.

The world of Quietly

In the first two films, we followed the adventures of the Abbott family. Following an alien invasion, they try to survive while merciless monsters hunt down humans.

In this post-apocalyptic world, every word spoken or noise heard awakens immediately suspect these creatures, and death occurs a few seconds later. The Abbotts nevertheless managed to survive because they already knew sign language due to the deafness of their daughter Regan.

Quietly: Day 1 is a prequel to the first two films. This feature film will focus on the character played by actress Lupita Nyong’o who lives in New York. Timing-wise, the events take place in the very first moments following the alien invasion in the Big Apple.

A tempting cast

Alongside Lupita Nyong'o (Us, Black Panther), we will have the pleasure of finding a range of experienced actors, including Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things, Gladiator 2), Alex Wolff (Hereditary, Old), Denis O’Hare (Milk, Dallas Buyers Club), or even Djimon Hounsou (Without a sound 2, Blood Diamond).

Fans are also wondering if John Krasinski (The Office, Jack Ryan) and Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, Sicario), the stars of the first two parts, will make a small appearance or if they will be completely absent.

Will there be a sequel ?

< p>The answer is yes, as our colleagues at The Hollywood Reporter have already reported. Director John Krasinski announced a release planned for 2025 for Simply 3 during a Paramount financial report to investors. For now, no casting has yet been revealed.

Either way, we can't wait to see these new feature films. The first two films surprised the public by alternating calm, 100% silent scenes with others, very rhythmic.
