Xiaomi 14T Pro: Everything you need to know about the new smartphone with excellent value for money

The Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro have been announced and they rely on artificial intelligence to take on their main competitors while maintaining a very good quality/price ratio.

Unveiled in Berlin on the sidelines of a special conference, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro are therefore the new smartphones of the new school year for the Chinese brand. The latter focuses above all on a good quality/price ratio with neat features, particularly on the photo and video part. But Xiaomi does not forget the big trend of the moment, artificial intelligence, to assert itself against competition.

What are the features of the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro ?

The Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro do not have an exceptional design. The latter remains quite sober but still has an aluminum coating for better resistance and a little “premium” side as can be found on the latest iPhones. This design also allows the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro to be water and dust resistant with an IP68 standard.

On the screen side, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro both feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a brightness of up to 4,000 nits. A ridiculously high figure that should guarantee excellent readability for your everyday content while protecting your eyes when it's dark around you. The screen of the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro also has a refresh rate of 144 Hz for exemplary fluidity when browsing the web or launching a video game.

On the camera side, this is where the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro stand out. The different sensors equipped on the two smartphones are as follows:

  • 50MP main sensor
  • 50MP telephoto lens (x2 on the 14T and x2.6 for the 14T Pro)
  • 12MP ultra wide angle

Note however that the main sensor of the Xiaomi 14T is a Sony IMX906 while that of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is capable of capturing more light than its counterpart.

In terms of power, the Xiaomi 14T is equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor which is already capable of delivering excellent performance. However, the most demanding users can turn to the Xiaomi 14T Pro and its Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ chip for even more power, especially in resource-intensive video games.

Finally, if both Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro are equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery, the basic version is compatible with 67W wireless charging while the Pro format can support up to 120W to fill up very quickly!

Note that both Xiaomi are also banking on AI by integrating several features such as the integration of Google Gemini, “surround to search” and a smart recorder capable of compiling and summarizing your audio interventions.
