You are a SFR or RED by SFR subscriber ? The price of your package will (perhaps) increase...

Last May, we discussed the crisis that the operator SFR is going through. The French Radiotelephony Company continues to lose subscribers, who seem more than ever to be finding refuge with of ever fiercer competition. Also, the company that already won the unenviable title of “worst operator” in France last April has decided to increase certain prices for its mobile and Internet subscribers.< /p>

“The price of your offer is changing”… again !

Last May, SFR announced 19.96 million subscribers to its various mobile plans. While the operator lost a few feathers on the mobile market side, its fiber web offer continued to grow, with 4.5 million customers, or just over 330,000 customers compared to last year. Added to this are the many subscribers to the attractive “low-cost” RED by SFR offers. And today, everyone is likely to be affected by a “change in their offer“.

Indeed, for a few days now, some SFR and RED by SFR subscribers have been receiving a letter in their mailbox entitled “The price of your offer is changing to offer you the best experience“. Subscribers have been in the habit for a few years now, SFR regularly offers to “upgrade” our offer. This generally translates into an advantage (more package, data envelope, etc.) in exchange for a small price increase.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

While there was a time when this “upgrade” could be refused by the subscriber (in the absence of a response, it was automatically accepted), for some time now, the operator has not offered the slightest option to refuse. We can thus see our offer “upgrade” (with the arrival of 5G, an inflated data envelope…), and its price with it. Better (or worse) still, SFR has recently tended to increase the price of subscriptions… but without offering anything in exchange.

This is the case with this new price increase, which rises from €0.99 to €1.99 per month. The latter does not offer any form of particular advantage to the subscriber, except the promise of allowing him to benefit from a network which offers… 60~em>more fluidity, more speed“. And as mentioned earlier, this is not a proposal, but a formal announcement, indicating that the subscription will now be a little more expensive, and that's it.

For the subscriber, no dispute is possible. The latter may, however, terminate his contract without charge and without payment of the remaining contractual months due, provided that he carries out the procedure within 4 months after the entry into force of the modification.

And you, are you affected by this increase in prices at SFR ?
