The war between Elon Musk and OpenAI continues to rage. The publisher of ChatGPT has just made some sensational revelations about Elon Musk, with supporting evidence, assuring that the latter has long sought to make the organization profitable.
It is well known: Elon Musk harbors a strong resentment towards OpenAI, which he co-founded. A resentment that led him to file several complaints against the company. He accuses it, in particular, of having abandoned its initial project of developing artificial intelligence (AI) for the benefit of humanity.
At the heart of the entrepreneur’s rebukes is the famous multi-billion dollar partnership between OpenAI and Microsoft, which he says proves that the organization has betrayed its aspirations. On November 14, he sued Sam Altman’s firm again to prevent it from generating profits. It is currently set up as a hybrid structure, with a for-profit parent company and a non-profit subsidiary, reflecting its shift to a commercial model.
In their complaint, Musk’s lawyers also want to prevent OpenAI from requiring its investors to refrain from funding competitors. In this case xAI, the startup founded by the entrepreneur in 2023 to compete with OpenAI.
This is clearly the straw that broke the camel's back for the company. ” Elon Musk's latest lawsuit against OpenAI marks his fourth attempt in less than a year to reframe his claims. However, his own words and actions speak for themselves ,” she wrote in a vast blog post tracing the complicated relationship she has with Elon Musk.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Messages, emails, official documents… The company backs up all its claims with evidence. It says that, from the organization's inception in 2015, Musk questioned its nonprofit structure, suggesting that it would be “probably better to have a standard corporation with a parallel nonprofit organization” ». This shows that he was already taking the business side into account.
Two years later, ” our research progress has led us to realize that we would need billions of dollars for computing to build artificial general intelligence “, OpenAI says. The management, including Elon Musk, then agrees to establish a lucrative structure. But, in a dramatic turn of events, the billionaire is demanding between 50 and 60% of the company's shares, as well as the CEO position and several board seats.
“ During a call, Elon told us that he didn't care about equity personally, but that he just needed to accumulate $80 billion to build a city on Mars“, the company assures.

Refusing to budge, OpenAI executives rejected his proposal to seize full control of artificial intelligence. Musk then severed ties with the company. Since then, ChatGPT's meteoric rise has only fueled his harsh criticism of X, where he targets regularly his old project. By founding xAI, he came to compete directly with the latter.
But for the moment, it is indeed OpenAI which dominates the sector, with a colossal valuation of 157 billion dollars. ” You can't win the AI race with lawsuits ,” the startup asserts.
