On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, they went to the Versailles Criminal Court to attend the trial of the five individuals accused of having kidnapped and burglarized them. The alleged events took place on the night of September 26 to 27, 2023 at their home in Tessancourt-sur-Aubette, in the Yvelines.

While two people, minors, had already been tried and convicted, five other people, adults this time, were heard by the courts. “In reality, they ruined the life of a 14-year-old boy at the time of the events. “When you raise a child, you are there from a young age to tell him that you can help him and defend him. And there, he finds himself with a dad who is naked, sitting on the edge of the bed, his hands tied behind his back begging the attackers not to hurt his mother or him. (…) You have broken up a family and a couple. Us, my wife, my son and me; we are condemned to be unhappy for the rest of our lives“, he concluded.

The accused were sentenced to heavy prison terms

The five people who were tried were heard for the facts of “complicity in kidnapping, complicity in robbery with violence, criminal association”. They risked between five and ten years in prison. Finally, the justice system rendered its verdict by sentencing them to significant sentences ranging from three to twelve years in prison.

In the defendants' box, the atmosphere was very tense. Le Parisien reports that two of the individuals came to blows before being separated by the guards penitentiaries.
