Monaco Live

In torrential rain in Zagreb, ASM snatched a precious draw (2-2) after being led by two goals in a game with a thrilling storyline. In the first half, the Monegasques held the ball (67%) but lacked cutting edge in front of goal, like the one-on-one missed by Minamino against Nevistic (13th). After a few Croatian incursions, notably through Petkovic, it was finally Sucic who opened the scoring in stoppage time in the first half (45'+1) by taking advantage of a passive defense to slip in a sublime chip.

In the second half, Baturina validated his team's good momentum with a sublime goal from the edge of the box to relegate ASM to two goals. Underwater, Monaco did not sink. Salisu revived the Monegasques by taking advantage of a risky exit from the Croatian goalkeeper to score with a header. At 2-1, the end of the match was completely crazy. Balogun converted a penalty to equalize at 2-2, a few minutes before Dinamo coach Bjelica was sent off for protesting. ASM therefore leaves Zagreb with a draw that looked like a miracle given how difficult it was for Hutter's men.

23:25 – A first in the history of French football

For the first time in the history of French football, 4 clubs have won a meeting during the same edition of the Champions League (PSG, Monaco, Brest and Lille).

23:18 – An update on French clubs

After this second day of the Champions League, Brest is the best placed French club overall with a superb 2nd place after its victory over Salzburg (0-4). Monaco is therefore 14th with a one-point lead over Lille, who beat Real Madrid tonight (1-0), and over PSG, who lost to Arsenal (2-0). France had no longer counted 5 wins after its first 8 Champions League matches since the 2009-2010 season.

23:10 – ASM at a standstill overall

After this draw against Dinamo Zagreb, Monaco was unable to continue after the victory against Barcelona. ASM is thus at 14th place while the Croatians are 28th.

Under pouring rain, ASM signs a draw that almost looks like a victory as the scenario was so unfavorable. Initially trailing by two goals, Hutter's men came back to level thanks to a penalty from Zakaria at the very end of the match (89th).

22:59 – Bjelica is sent off (90th +2)

After a protest, the Dinamo coach is sent off. He returns to the locker room with only two minutes left to play.

22:57 – 5 minutes of added time (90’)

In a completely crazy end to the match, the assistant referee indicates 5 minutes of added time.

Zakaria hits his penalty hard on the left side while Nevistic had dived on the other side! Monaco catches up to the score to grab a draw and why not more. Crazy end to the match Zagreb!

Mr. Osmers points to the penalty spot after a foul on Balogun!

22:50 – Petkovic provokes the foul (85’)

With his back to the goal, Petkovic does well. He comes here to collect a foul to give his team a breather and bring the block back up. There are less than 5 minutes left in this game.

22:48 – The pace is choppy (84’)

At the end of the match, the fouls follow one another and make the rhythm jerky. The Monegasques must show themselves offensively to hope for a draw.

22:46 – Yellow for Rog (81’)

Rog gets a yellow card for protesting with Mr. Osmers. In the process, the Dinamo Bjelica coach also gets a warning.

22:44 – Henrique (80’) exits

The full-back is replaced by Ouattara as we enter the last 10 minutes of this match.

22:43 – The tension is rising! (77’)

As ASM shows itself more and more in this last quarter of an hour, Ben Seghir collapses in the area. Mr. Osmers does not flinch.

On Monaco's first corner in the second half, Akliouche finds Salisu's head. The defender takes advantage of a risky exit by Nevistic to push the ball into the empty Croatian goal. ASM comes back to 2-1.

22:36 – Ben Seghir enters (72nd)

Hutter makes changes with the entries of Ben Seghir and Diatta at Vanderson and Camara's place.

22:35 – Baturina, an XXL performance (70’)

What a performance delivered by the young 21-year-old Croatian. First a decisive passer then a superb scorer. He left his mark on the match, that's undeniable.

Author of an exceptional match, Baturina is decisive with a superb strike from the left at the edge of the area which lodges in the side netting. The Monegasques are punished!

22:27 – Minamino is on the ground (62’)

While he had been found in the area, the Japanese falls during a shoulder contact with Bernauer. There is nothing indicated Mr. Osmers.

22:24 – Minamino finds no one (60’)

The Japanese places an oriented control before looking for Balogun in depth while he was asking for the ball in the feet. Misunderstanding between the two players.

22:21 – There are people in the Monaco area (58’)

On a corner, Baturina looks for a Croatian header. Camara steps in with his right foot to clear but the ball comes back to Baturina's feet. The number 10 adjusts a crossbar in the Monaco area. There is a presence but Monaco manages to clear.

22:19 – Balogun's first attempt (55th)

Minamino, with success, manages to cross low to Balogun. The Monaco striker places a first-time shot while he is on the back foot. As a result, his shot is too crushed, Nevistic lies down calmly on the ball.

22:18 – Zagreb pushes (52nd)

Petkovic, who benefited from a cross from Pierre-Gabriel, misses the target again while he was in a good position. ASM is in trouble, be careful not to take on water…

22:15 – The Croatians are in control (51st)

Dinamo Zagreb has started this second act very well, displaying a transpiring serenity. A contrast with ASM, which is wavering.

22:13 – Petkovic is offside! (49)

Ademi hits the right side before slipping a low cross to Petkovic who, at close range, doesn't find the frame! The referee finally comes back to an offside by Ademi.
