In 2020, Carl Pei confirmed his departure from OnePlus, the smartphone brand he co-founded and which shook the market with its high-end killer smartphones. Later, in early 2021, he announced his new company, Nothing. After debuting with wireless headphones and raising significant funds, Nothing also entered the smartphone market.

Today, Nothing is already more than 3 years old. And on this occasion, Carl Pei shared a figure, in a publication on X. According to it, over the last three years, Nothing has sold more than 3 million products. Pei does not give further details, but we can assume that this figure includes both Nothing smartphones and wireless headphones.

In any case, the CEO of Nothing is satisfied with the performance of its young brand and wanted to thank the customers who “voted with their wallets”. He also indicated that from now on, Nothing will share annual figures, but no longer cumulative figures.

A year 2024 off to a good start

To start the year 2024, Nothing launched its Nothing (2a) smartphone in March. And this mid-range device, offered at a very competitive price, was a hit, since the brand sold more than 100,000 units in 24 hours. And the next product launch is scheduled for this month. Indeed, Nothing has already announced the presentation of two new pairs of wireless headphones, for April 18.

In addition, according to rumors, two more smartphones are already scheduled for this year. It could be an improved version of the Nothing (2a) and the brand's next premium product: the Nothing (3).

  • After leaving OnePlus, which he co-founded, Carl Pei launched his Nothing brand in early 2021
  • 3 years later, the young brand has a good track record
  • In a publication on X, Carl Pei indicates that 3 million products have been sold over the last three years
