Open in full screen mode Fatal accident in Chambly, on January 26 around 10:30 p.m., a man in his thirties was taken into cardiac arrest following a face-to-face encounter on rue Patrick-Farrar and rue Briand in Chambly. The Canadian Press A man lost his life in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Chambly, in Montérégie. The collision occurred Friday evening, around 10:30 p.m., on rue Patrick-Farrar, very close to the rue Briand and an exit from highway 10. For a reason still unknown, the driver of a vehicle deviated from his lane before hitting the vehicle which was traveling in the opposite direction. The driver who veered out of his lane, a 33-year-old man, lost his life. His identity has not been revealed until now. L' another driver did not suffer serious injuries, but he was shaken by a violent nervous shock. The road was closed in the area until' at 3 a.m. Saturday morning, enough time to allow the collision reconstructionist from the Sûreté du Québec, called in as reinforcement, to do his work. Speed could be a factor in this fatal collision. The investigation conducted with the Richelieu–Saint-Laurent Intermunicipal Police Board continues.
