A 66-year-old man died after being stabbed overnight from Sunday to Monday in a residential area of ​​Laval. This is the first murder of the year committed in this city.

The police were called around 3:30 a.m. on Place-Robin Street, in the Laval-des-Rapides district, where they discovered a man in his sixties seriously injured in front of a residence.

The man unfortunately succumbed to his injuries despite resuscitation maneuvers; he was pronounced dead a little later at the hospital.

The police apprehended and placed in custody arrest a 33-year-old man at the scene of the crime.
